Perched atop Nekras hill (859 m) above Bedřichov, the Královka Lookout Tower (formerly Königshöhe) is an architectural jewel of the Jizera Mountains. Erected from sturdy local granite blocks in 1907 to replace a destroyed wooden predecessor, this 24-meter tower has anchored regional mountain tourism for well over a century. Climbing the 102 interior stairs leads to a covered viewing deck with an unobstructed circular panorama. On clear days, visitors can admire the sweeping crests of the Jizera range, the dramatic silhouette of Ještěd, the Krkonoše (Giant Mountains) ridge including Sněžka, and the distant volcanic cones of the Bohemian Paradise. The tower is now the centerpiece of a vibrant alpine resort featuring restaurants, a sprawling adventure playground, and seamless connections to the famous Jizera cross-country ski and hiking arteries.
